LAWNMOWER TRADE-IN – TERMS & CONDITIONS

Trade-in your old mower and put the value towards a brand-new mower!

The following terms and conditions apply to all lawnmower trade-ins offered by MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd.

1. Eligible Trade-Ins

We consider trade-ins of push mowers, ride-on mowers and zero-turn mowers. Trade-in eligibility and value will depend on the make, model, age, condition, specifications and overall market value of the mower.

2. Trade-In Valuation

All trade-in values are determined by MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd. at its discretion following an assessment of the mower.

Customers can:

  • Bring their mower into MCM Trading for assessment; or
  • Email photos and a description of the mower to info@mcmtrading.com.au for an initial assessment.

An indicative trade-in value provided from photographs or a description is subject to inspection of the actual mower and may be revised if the mower's condition differs from that represented.

3. Condition of Trade-In

The trade-in mower must be in the condition represented by the customer. Trade-in value may be adjusted following inspection if there are undisclosed issues, damage, excessive wear, missing parts or other defects.

Factors that may affect the trade-in value include, but are not limited to:

  • Age and hours of use
  • Overall mechanical condition
  • Engine condition
  • Deck and cutting system condition
  • Transmission or hydrostatic drive condition
  • Tyres and wheels
  • Battery and electrical system
  • General appearance and body condition
  • Missing or damaged components
  • Availability of parts and serviceability
  • Make, model and current market demand

4. Ownership

The customer must be the legal owner of the mower and have the right to trade it in.

MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd. reserves the right to request reasonable evidence of ownership where required. Mowers subject to finance, hire purchase, security interests or other third-party claims must be disclosed prior to trade-in.

5. Trade-In Price

The final trade-in price will be agreed between MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd. and the customer prior to completion of the trade-in transaction.

There is no minimum trade-in value. The trade-in value offered will be based on the individual mower and its assessed condition.

6. Trade-In Must Be Used Towards a New Mower

Unless otherwise agreed by MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd., the trade-in value is provided as a discount towards the purchase of an eligible new mower and is not redeemable for cash.

Trade-in offers are subject to the purchase of a new mower from MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd..

7. New Mower Purchase

The trade-in offer applies to the purchase of an eligible new mower stocked by MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd., including participating models from Walker, John Deere, Cox and Masport.

Available models, pricing and promotional offers may vary. Trade-in offers cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions unless expressly agreed by MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd..

8. Inspection and Acceptance

MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd. reserves the right to inspect and assess any mower before confirming the final trade-in value.

A trade-in may be declined if, following inspection, the mower is materially different from the condition described or photographed, or if MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd. determines that it is unsuitable for trade-in.

9. Accessories and Attachments

Any accessories, attachments or additional equipment included with the trade-in should be disclosed at the time of valuation.

The inclusion or exclusion of accessories, trailers, catcher systems, mulching kits or other attachments may affect the trade-in value.

10. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for removing all personal belongings and items from the mower before handing it over to MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd..

The customer should also provide any available keys, manuals, service records and relevant documentation, as these may assist with the assessment of the mower.

11. Promotional Period

Trade-in offers are available during the advertised promotional period only, unless otherwise agreed by MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd.

MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd. reserves the right to amend or withdraw the promotion at any time, subject to applicable Australian Consumer Law.

12. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

13. MCM Trading's Decision

Trade-in valuations are based on the individual mower presented and are determined by MCM Trading based on its assessment. MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd. trade-in valuation is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash unless otherwise agreed.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with a trade-in, the customer acknowledges that they have provided accurate information about the mower and accepts the trade-in value and conditions agreed with MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd.

MCM Sales & Service Pty Ltd. reserves the right to make the final determination on trade-in values, subject to applicable Australian Consumer Law.
